Job description

Leasing Agent Intern

Bear Real Estate Group is looking for a motivated and customer-centric Leasing Agent Intern to take the lead in showcasing our stunning property, the Corliss located in Milwaukee, WI. You will work amongst a team of professionals within a beautiful building with premium amenities.

You'll be responsible for scheduling and conducting showings of all available rental units, helping prospective tenants experience the quality, style, and comfort our community offers. Weekend availability is required to accommodate high-demand viewing times.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Saturday 8:30am-5pm
  • May stay past 5pm based on business needs to to lease up season

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Show units to all prospects.
  • Monitor condition and cleanliness of make ready units and model as well as tour path.
  • Conduct pre-move in unit inspections.
  • Answers the telephone and provides customer service.
  • Processes rental applications.
  • Prepares lease documents and handles lease signings if necessary.
  • Communicates with applicants regarding application status.
  • Provides accurate information on our rentals to callers and visitors.
  • Ensure guest cards are complete, entered into RealPage and follow up is completed for all prospects.
  • Accumulates traffic information from various sources and prepares a consolidated report.
  • Maintains awareness of local market conditions and trends by performing market studies quarterly.
  • Creates social media content and newsletters.
  • Is on top of customer relations and gives assistance to current residents regarding tenancy and ensure requests are delivered and carried out with accuracy and promptness.
  • Provides support to the Assistant/Property Manager as needed.
  • Audits all tenant files.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to four years related experience or equivalent
  • Customer service: Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, WI CCAP, TransUnion, and various rental search websites. RealPage experience a plus.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals
