Job Summary

The Multi-Line Claim Representative I is responsible for the investigation and adjustment of assigned multi-line liability claims, with a primary focus on auto property damage and general liability claims. This adjuster role manages claims across multiple accounts and jurisdictions, including trucking and municipal clients, while delivering timely, accurate, and compliant claim outcomes. This position may serve as an advanced training role for future advancement to a Multi-Line Claim Representative II or more senior claim positions.


When we hire adjusters at CCMSI, we look for professionals who understand that every claim represents a real person’s livelihood, approach each file with care and accountability, and take pride in delivering accurate, timely, and well documented outcomes while navigating challenges with sound judgment and integrity.

• Investigate and adjust multi-line liability claims, including auto property damage and general liability, in accordance with CCMSI claim handling standards under direct supervision
• Manage an average caseload of approximately 125 claims of moderate complexity
• Review medical, legal, and miscellaneous invoices to determine reasonableness and claim-related necessity; negotiate disputed invoices as appropriate
• Authorize and issue claim payments utilizing established claim payment systems and authority guidelines
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys in accordance with client authorization and corporate standards
• Assist in the selection and coordination of defense attorneys when appropriate
• Assess and monitor subrogation opportunities through resolution
• Prepare reports detailing claim status, payments, and reserves
• Provide required reporting and file monitoring for excess insurers
• Maintain accurate documentation, diary management, and compliance with service commitments
• Deliver consistent, high-quality claim service to internal and external clients


Required:


• Active adjuster license required for jurisdictions handled (LA, MS, AL, GA, TX, FL)
• Minimum of 3 years of liability claim handling or insurance-related experience, including auto property damage claims handled in-house for an insurance company
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple files
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Attention to confidentiality and discretion
• Reliable, predictable attendance during assigned client service hours
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Nice to Have:


• Prior experience working in a Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment
• Experience handling claims for trucking or municipal clients


Work Environment

• Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days onsite per week in the Metairie office, 3 days remote
• Hybrid eligibility begins day one

Compensation & Compliance

The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
