We currently have an opportunity for a Claims Assistant to join our Specialty Claims team.

Overview:

Responsible for assisting Claim Specialists, Claim Technical Managers and Regional Claim Manager with the servicing of assigned accounts in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and report new claims.
  • Enter data as required in HUB automation systems.
  • Provide support to the claims team on complicated matters including special projects.
  • Handle correspondence and the administrative processing of claims including claim reporting forms/emails, system file maintenance and claim status updates requested by the team.
  • Provide team with support on the telephones.
  • Assist with follow up investigation, negotiation and settlement of all claims.
  • Perform all duties necessary to support the overall department objective of advocating for our clients in the claim handling process.
  • Responsible for developing complete familiarity with all forms, documents, paperwork and systems including their intent and purpose.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Regional Claim Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Related experience with commercial insurance.
  • Excellent customer servicing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Team player who works well with others, and assists/supports both the claims team and HUB successfully mitigate the overall risk/exposure of HUB clients.

The expected salary range for this position is $19.53 an hour - $26.35 an hourand will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages: health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
