Insurance Administrator
Flatwater Insurance, a Goldenrod Company
Location: Dallas, TX
Flatwater Insurance, a Goldenrod Company, is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Administrator to support organizational insurance programs and compliance across multiple entities and operations. This position is based in our Dallas office and offers the full suite of Goldenrod employee benefits.
This role works closely with Risk Management, Finance, and operational teams to ensure proper coverage, timely reporting, and effective claim management while maintaining compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
This is a critical position that helps protect employees and the organization by improving claim outcomes, maintaining accurate documentation, and reducing overall risk exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Administration
  • Administer insurance claims from initial reporting through resolution
  • Coordinate with employees, supervisors, medical providers, and insurance adjusters as needed
  • Track claim status, return-to-work coordination (where applicable), and documentation
  • Monitor claim reserves and identify opportunities to reduce exposure
  • Maintain accurate incident and claim records
  • Assist with documentation required for internal or carrier review
Insurance & Compliance
  • Maintain certificates of insurance (COIs) for vendors and partners
  • Verify insurance coverage meets contractual requirements
  • Track policy renewals, endorsements, and expirations
  • Support insurance audits (e.g., workers' compensation, general liability, auto, etc.)
  • Manage insurance documentation requests from partners, clients, or stakeholders
Reporting & Risk Management
  • Maintain claim logs and produce periodic loss run reports
  • Identify trends and provide insights to leadership to reduce risk exposure
  • Assist with insurance renewals by gathering required documentation and data
  • Support development of insurance-related metrics and reporting
Coordination & Communication
  • Serve as liaison between the organization, insurance brokers, and carriers
  • Work with Finance on premium allocations and cost tracking
  • Educate internal teams on reporting procedures and documentation requirements
  • Respond to internal and external insurance-related inquiries
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance administration, claims management, HR risk, or related field
  • Familiarity with insurance certificates, endorsements, and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Excel and document tracking systems
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
  • Experience working with insurance brokers and adjusters
  • Return-to-work coordination experience
  • Insurance or risk management certifications (ARM, AIC, or similar)
