Job Description:
Join Job Duck as an Immigration Case Assistant and play a vital role in supporting a dynamic legal team by managing immigration case workflows and delivering high quality client support. In this position, you will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of case preparation while ensuring a seamless experience for clients throughout the process. You will be responsible for organizing legal documentation, coordinating communications, and assisting with critical filings that directly impact case outcomes. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a structured environment while staying responsive to client needs. • Compensation Range: $1,150 to $1,220
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct legal research as instructed to support case preparation
  • Schedule consultations and manage calendars effectively
  • Manage email communications and ensure timely follow up with clients
  • Draft immigration forms and prepare supporting legal documentation
  • Manage immigration case files and maintain accurate, organized client records
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and client service in all interactions
  • Handle inbound and outbound communication, including message taking
  • Support case package assembly and preparation for filing
  • Triage client inquiries and determine appropriate next steps
  • Draft recommendation letters and assist in preparing submission materials

Requirements:
Required Skills
Bachelor of Law or related academic background preferred, without active attorney licensing requirement
• Previous experience in immigration law, legal support, or case management preferred
• Strong written English communication skills required
• Portuguese communication skills are a strong plus

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail in drafting legal and immigration documents
• Client focused mindset with strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach to tasks and challenges
• High level of accountability, reliability, and commitment to team success
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
• Adaptability and ability to work in a structured but fast paced legal environment
• Capacity to follow instructions and support legal research when required.

• Availability to work within Pacific Time business hours
• Schedule aligned with 9:00 am to 6:00 pm operations
