The HRIS Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, optimization, and day-to-day management of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems within a large, complex healthcare environment. This role ensures data integrity, system efficiency, scalability, and compliance across HR, payroll, benefits, and workforce management platforms.
Reporting to the Vice President of Payroll, this role partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Operations, and IT to support a high-volume, multi-state workforce. The HRIS Manager plays a critical role in enabling HR operations, enhancing the employee lifecycle experience, supporting payroll accuracy, and driving data-informed decision-making across the enterprise.

  • Lead the administration and optimization of ADP Vantage and ADP Workforce Now platforms supporting core HR, payroll, benefits, and talent functions.
  • Develop and execute an HRIS roadmap aligned with organizational growth, HR strategy, regulatory requirements, and workforce needs.
  • Partner with HR leadership to ensure systems effectively support the full employee lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, performance, compensation, and offboarding).
  • Collaborate with Payroll leadership to align HRIS capabilities with payroll operations and compliance priorities.
  • Evaluate system functionality and recommend enhancements, automation, and integrations to improve HR service delivery and employee experience.
  • Oversee daily HRIS operations supporting high-volume employee populations across multiple locations/states.
  • Ensure system performance, reliability, and timely resolution of HR, payroll, and employee-facing issues.
  • Maintain system configurations, workflows, business processes, and security roles across HR modules.
  • Coordinate with ADP, IT and third-party vendors on system updates, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure HR systems effectively support key processes including recruiting, onboarding, job changes, compensation, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to optimize workflows and system utilization.
  • Improve employee and manager self-service capabilities and overall user experience.
  • Support organizational changes (restructures, acquisitions, expansions) within HR systems.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of employee, organizational, and payroll-related data.
  • Develop and deliver HR, payroll, compliance, and workforce analytics reporting.
  • Partner with HR and executive leadership to provide insights on headcount, turnover, labor trends, and workforce planning.
  • Lead data audits and support regulatory reporting (ACA, EEO, and healthcare-specific requirements).
  • Act as a key partner to Payroll, ensuring seamless HRIS support for payroll processing cycles and data accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment processes, and integrations with carriers and vendors.
  • Ensure accurate data flow between HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and benefits systems.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ACA, FLSA, and other federal/state regulations impacting healthcare employers.
  • Maintain strong data governance, system security, and audit controls.
  • Support internal and external audits, including HR, payroll, and system controls
  • Lead HRIS-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Partner with HR leaders to continuously improve processes, reduce manual work, and increase automation.
  • Manage timelines, stakeholders, and vendor relationships in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Provide guidance and training to HR, Payroll, and operational leaders.
  • Develop training materials and promote best practices for system usage across HR functions.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for ADP Vantage and ADP Workforce Now capabilities

  • 10+ years of progressive HRIS experience in ADP Vantage and/or Workforce Now supporting both HR and payroll functions.
  • Experience supporting a large, multi-state healthcare organization (highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience enabling HR processes (talent, employee lifecycle) through HR systems.

Salary: $111,000 - $149,900
