Organization Summary:PAXsapiensis a grantmaking and operating foundation whose mission is to prevent predictable global catastrophes. We use direct grantmaking and coordination tools such as convenings, conferences, and information-sharing systems to advance human security and sustainable peace. In support of our mission, our focus areas include strengthening global systems for pandemic prevention, preventing nuclear war, and promoting better US-Chinese relationships in global fora specifically. Primary Roles:PAXsapiensis looking for an organized and proactive person with excellent communication and project management skills to join our team. The ideal candidate has impeccable attention to detail.This position isin support of the work of theoperations team and reports to the Operations Managerand includessupporting meetings, convenings,strategic learninginitiativesand special projects. Approximately 25 percent of time, this position will provide administrative support to senior leadership.

Location:

This positionis located inBroomfield, CO which typically allows for a hybrid scheduled with 3 days per weekpermitted to work remotely.This position may require more than 2 days per week inoffice.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • The AdministrativeSupportrole provides high-level administrative and operational support to the COO, ensuring efficient management of the executives schedule, communications, and strategic priorities. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability toanticipateneeds.Additionally, coordinating the President with his Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff.
  • Meeting and Event Support:Provide support for the Operations Manager andassistwith myriad aspects of Track 2 Dialogues, Convenings and Workshops.This willincludingsupporting travel needs, confirming compliance with sanctions andworking with details that make an event successful.
  • Internal Information Sharing:Collect monthly status reports and compile fora written update across the organization
  • Supporting the development and implementing new Areas of Responsibilities (AOR):As PAXsapiensgrows, the needs of the organization do too. The operations team developsthe systems to support the programs
  • Strategic Learning Support:Support afteraction reviews, outcome harvesting, and related monitoring, evaluation, and strategic learning activities for PAX convenings and dialogues.Assistwith coordinating the collection, organization, synthesis, and use of eventrelated data and information, in collaboration with PAXs strategic learning and monitoring, evaluation, and learning functions.
  • Developmentand partnershipsupport:Support events and activities as needed by the Director of Partnerships and Development

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Stronginterest ininternational affairs and development
  • Minimum of1-3yearsexperiencein a nonprofit, campaign, or philanthropic environment.

  • Strongorganizational and communicationskills.
  • Strong and concise writing skills.
  • Ability to bothworkindependently and in collaboration.
  • Proficiencyin Chinese is considered a plus.


Physical Work Demands:

  • Able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Able to bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25lbsregularly.
