What is a growth?

A Growth role focuses on driving the expansion of a company's user base, revenue, or market presence through data-driven strategies and experimentation. Professionals in this role often work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for growth, run tests, and optimize the customer journey. Their primary goal is to accelerate business metrics by analyzing data, improving processes, and implementing creative solutions. Growth roles can include job titles like Growth Manager, Growth Marketer, or Growth Product Manager.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a growth manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Growth Manager, you need expertise in data analysis, digital marketing, and strategic planning, often supported by a degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Familiarity with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot), and A/B testing software is typically required. Creativity, adaptability, and strong communication skills help Growth Managers identify opportunities and collaborate across teams. These abilities are crucial for driving user acquisition, retention, and revenue growth in a competitive market.

How does a growth professional typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive company objectives?

Growth professionals work closely with marketing, product, sales, and data teams to identify and implement strategies that accelerate user acquisition, engagement, and retention. They often lead experiments, analyze data to uncover opportunities, and coordinate initiatives that require input from multiple departments. This collaborative approach helps ensure that growth strategies are aligned with broader company goals and that resources are leveraged effectively. Regular communication and project management skills are crucial for success in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What is the difference between Growth vs Marketing Specialist?

Job description

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Growth Protocol is an Enterprise Reasoning Platform headquartered in New York. We help enterprises turn strategy into action by combining a neuro-symbolic reasoning core, seamless data activation, and agentic workflows. Our platform reduces execution drag, accelerates growth, and delivers measurable business outcomes for some of the world's most complex organizations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Growth Protocol is hiring a Growth Delivery Director to lead the deployment of our neuro-symbolic reasoning platform across enterprise client engagements. You will own the full client relationship from onboarding through expansion — translating complex business challenges into structured, high-impact workflows and ensuring clients realize measurable value from the platform.

You will work directly with C-suite and senior stakeholders on problems like "Which high-growth category should we enter next?" or "How will tariff shifts impact our core portfolio?" — then partner with Forward Deployed Engineers and AI/ML teams to design and deploy the reasoning workflows that answer them.

Ideal candidates bring a consulting or enterprise solution delivery background, hands‑on experience deploying AI/ML applications, and a track record of managing executive relationships through complex, multi‑stakeholder engagements.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
  • 7+ years in consulting or solution delivery with hands‑on technical depth in AI/ML deployment

  • Proven track record leading complex, multi‑stakeholder engagements with C-suite and senior executive clients

  • Hands‑on experience deploying AI/ML applications or intelligent workflows — including LLMs, RAG pipelines, forecasting models, or symbolic reasoning systems

  • Ability to synthesize ambiguous business challenges into structured, actionable problem frames

  • Experience working closely with engineering and product teams to scope and ship production‑grade solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to drive account retention and expansion in partnership with Sales

  • Demonstrated ability to drive account retention and expansion in partnership with Sales

PERKS
  • Competitive compensation and equity in a rapidly growing company

  • 100% company‑paid health, dental, and vision insurance plus 401(k)

  • Office in the Flatiron District, New York, NY

  • Pet‑friendly office

This role can be based out of our New York office or performed fully remotely in the United States or Canada.
