The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record in aviation management leading high-performing teams in complex, highly technical and secure environments. What You Will Do:
  • Provide leadership and a strategic vision for RTX Flight Operations Support department, which is responsible for providing scheduling and coordination of safe and efficient executive transportation service to approved authorizers.
  • Lead a team of flight coordinators and dispatchers.
  • Responsible for planning and directing the operation of RTX Flight dispatch and scheduling functions supporting mission readiness and optimizing aircraft utilization in alignment with company objectives.
  • Direct and oversee daily activities related to scheduling, flight planning, and dispatch.
  • Oversee the scheduling and planning of domestic and international flights.
  • Monitor flight activities and respond to operational disruptions, delays, or emergencies.
  • Maintain and monitor systems to ensure that all flights are conducted in accordance with operational performance standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring robust safety protocols and strong team collaboration systems are in place.
  • Foster an environment that provides best-in-class customer service to support both internal.
  • Role may require shift coverage, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience in flight operations, dispatch, or aviation management or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Zoom/Teams, and flight operations scheduling software.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, work independently, and prioritize work in time-sensitive situations.
  • Critical Skills: customer service, dispatch and aircraft scheduling functions, crewing and currency, domestic and international flight coordination, compliance with company policy, safety and FAA regulations, aviation weather and the impact on aircraft operations and the safety of flight.
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.
  • Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
  • Proven ability to build internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

Qualifications We Prefer:

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
