Job description

Salary Range: $27.50/hr.-$35/hr.
EMERGENCY DISPATCHER
LOCATION; Lemont, IL- US
Full-time, part-time, Flex- 12hr shifts 0600-1800, 1800-0600
We are seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates with background in emergency dispatching-whether from traditional public agencies (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS) or from private-sector roles supporting public safety and critical operations.
Ideal candidates may have (2 +) years experience in areas such as:
  • Private ambulance dispatch
  • Emergency command posts or control centers
  • Private weather monitoring centers
  • Critical infrastructure dispatch (utilities, transit, etc.)
  • Hospital-to-ambulance radio coordination
  • Public works operations centers
  • Armored car/logistics dispatch
  • Public assembly facilities (stadiums, arenas) with PA and radio comms
  • Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT)
  • Municipal emergency management support roles
Position Overview:
As a Dispatcher in our Security Operations Center, you will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating and deploying security personnel
  • Receiving and triaging calls
  • Monitoring alarms, surveillance systems, and other detection technologies
  • Ensuring timely, accurate responses to incidents
Core Responsibilities:
  • Maintain continuous communication with field personnel and partner agencies
  • Document all incidents and dispatch activity with accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal security teams and external response entities
  • Support emergency and non-emergency operations with professionalism and urgency
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Communication: Clear, calm, and effective verbal and written skills for relaying instructions and documenting events.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to assess evolving situations and dispatch appropriate resources efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate log keeping and procedural adherence are essential.
  • Time Management: Stay organized and prioritize under pressure, especially during peak activity.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable with dispatch software, alarm monitoring systems, radios, and CCTV platforms.
Qualifications;
  • 2027 Valid Perc Card
  • 20hr Unarmed training record
  • Minimum education requirement; High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum (2) years of professional security experience or (2) years of military experience or (2) years post high school academic training in related field
  • Minimum (2) years of emergency services dispatching experience and preferred experience with CCTV monitoring.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)- assistance provided through employer
