The Flight Scheduler / Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating all aspects of flight operations for a Part 91 corporate flight department. This position serves as the central point of contact for aircraft scheduling, trip planning, passenger coordination, vendor management, and operational support to ensure safe, secure, and seamless transportation for company executives and authorized passengers. The Scheduler/Dispatcher works closely with flight crews, maintenance personnel, executive assistants, security teams, FBOs, catering providers, and international service providers to support a fleet of corporate aircraft and maintain exceptional customer service standards.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail with strong problem solving skills. Strong collaboration and customer service skills are critical, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage and maintain the corporate flight schedule for all aircraft and crew members.

  • Coordinate domestic and international trip requests from executive offices and authorized travelers.

  • Monitor flight activities and respond to operational disruptions, delays, or emergencies.

  • Maintain and monitor systems to ensure that all flights are conducted in accordance with applicable RTX Flight policy, safety standards, FAA regulations, and aircraft operational performance standards.

  • Monitor active flights and provide operational support throughout all phases of flight.

  • Coordinate crew schedules, duty assignments, and travel arrangements including crew lodging, rental cars, and airline travel arrangements.

  • Support Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives and reporting requirements.

  • Ensure trip planning activities comply with company procedures, applicable regulations, and international requirements.

  • Foster an environment that provides best-in-class customer service to support both internal stakeholders and external partners. 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

  • 8 years prior relevant experience in flight operations, dispatch, or aviation management (5 years with an advanced degree).

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Zoom/Teams, and flight operations scheduling software. 

  • Proven ability to manage projects, work independently, and prioritize work in time-sensitive situations.

  • Critical Skills: customer service, dispatch and aircraft scheduling functions, crewing and currency, domestic and international flight coordination, compliance with company policy, safety and FAA regulations, aviation weather and the impact on aircraft operations and the safety of flight.

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification.

  • Ability to build internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, and superior attention to detail.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
