Customer Service / Dispatcher Assistant (Temporary)
Our client is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Customer Service / Dispatcher Assistant to support their busy office team during the summer months. This is a full-time, fully onsite temporary role providing essential office coverage and support when the Service Manager or Dispatcher is unavailable.
Location: Newton, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00/8:30am-5:00pm (On Site)
Pay: $25-$30/hour, based on experience
Duration: May through August
Position Overview:
This role provides front-line phone, customer service, dispatch support, and administrative assistance to help keep daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, solid computer abilities, and the ability to research customer concerns while handling sometimes complex service-related calls.
Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming service calls professionally and efficiently
  • Gather customer information, document service concerns, and route calls appropriately
  • Support dispatch operations with scheduling updates, job notes, and customer communication
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and perform outbound customer follow-up calls
  • Assist with office coverage and daily coordination when Service Manager or Dispatcher is out
  • Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally while researching solutions
  • Escalate urgent service issues as needed
  • Maintain organized customer records, call logs, and scheduling updates

Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
