Their main responsibilities include labeling and storing documents, retrieving files upon request, and ensuring records are kept orderly and up to date. Filing Interns may also help digitize paper documents, follow confidentiality protocols, and support administrative staff. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain office experience, improve organizational skills, and learn about business operations.

For a filing intern, $23 an hour is above the average internship pay, which typically ranges from minimum wage to around $15-$20 per hour. This rate may reflect the level of responsibility, skills required, or the location's cost of living, and can be considered competitive for entry-level administrative roles. However, pay standards vary by region and industry, so it's important to compare with local internship rates.

Interns can also benefit from familiarizing themselves with the organization's document management software and proactively asking questions to clarify procedures. Building strong communication with team members ensures smooth collaboration and helps address any uncertainties quickly.
