About Us

The Bread Chic is a high-volume artisan bakery specializing in long-fermented sourdough, croissants, pastries, and handmade baked goods, operating across two production facilities in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Our sister concept, Rise & Vine, is a café and wine bar focused on elevated hospitality, artisan food, and community connection.

We produce for retail, wholesale, farmers markets, and café service, and we are passionate about quality, craftsmanship, and creating exceptional experiences through food.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Executive Pastry Chef to lead and elevate our pastry program across The Bread Chic and Rise & Vine.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on sourdough production, croissant execution, dessert development, team leadership, and maintaining exceptional quality standards in a high-volume artisan bakery environment encompassing sourdough bread, pastry, wholesale, and café service.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with creativity, organization, and a passion for artisan baking and pastry.

Core ResponsibilitiesPastry & Croissant Leadership
  • Oversee croissant and laminated dough production
  • Maintain consistency and quality across all pastry items
  • Lead daily pastry execution across multiple locations
Dessert & Pastry Development
  • Develop seasonal pastries and desserts
  • Create elevated offerings for Rise & Vine
  • Contribute creative ideas while maintaining production efficiency
Bread & Production Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with the sourdough and bread production teams
  • Support overall production flow between the pastry and bread departments
  • Maintain awareness of fermentation schedules, bake timing, and shared production systems across locations
Team Leadership
  • Lead and support pastry production staff
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and craftsmanship
Systems & Organization
  • Maintain prep lists, pars, and production systems
  • Help improve workflow and efficiency
  • Ensure organization and cleanliness throughout pastry production
Quality & Food Safety
  • Maintain high standards for presentation, flavor, and consistency
  • Enforce sanitation and food safety standards
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong bread/sourdough, pastry, laminated dough, and artisan bakery production experience preferred
  • Experience in artisan bakery or high-volume pastry production
  • Leadership experience preferred
