Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Required to provide high level of service and reliability in all areas.
Position Summary
The selected candidates will assist in all facets of Division Athletic event management, including preparation and facilitation for regular and post-season Olympic Sports events and home football and Men's Basketball games. Additionally, candidates will be managing crowds, working with visiting teams/officials, managing scoreboards, scanning tickets, public address, and other duties as assigned, which will require providing high level of service and reliability in all areas. Candidates must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and operate effectively in inclement weather.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management Preferences
Understanding of D1 Athletic policies and protocols
Previous experience with event management
Strong situational awareness with the ability to prioritize and stay composed under pressure
Ability to design event related materials
Familiarity with various communications devices (PA, Radio, Scoreboards)
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Position(s) involve working in inclement weather and standing for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
