Role Overview:

Own the strategy and performance of the Americas events ecosystem, shaping how Genesys engages customers, partners, and prospects through high-impact experiences that drive measurable pipeline growth and customer value. This role operates at the intersection of marketing strategy, revenue acceleration, and customer experience, influencing how large-scale and targeted programs contribute to business outcomes across the region. At Genesys, we are transforming how organizations deliver empathetic, AI-powered customer experiences, and this role plays a critical part in bringing that vision to life through meaningful, results-driven engagements. You will lead a multi-channel events strategy that integrates field marketing priorities, executive engagement, and global initiatives into a cohesive regional approach.

You will own the end-to-end events strategy across the Americas, aligning investments to business priorities while elevating the sophistication, scalability, and measurable impact of the program. Partnering closely with senior marketing and sales leaders, you will influence go-to-market strategy and ensure events are a primary driver of pipeline acceleration and customer expansion. This role offers significant visibility, leadership scope, and the opportunity to shape how Genesys delivers world-class experiences at scale while advancing your impact within a global marketing organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end Americas events strategy, driving alignment with regional pipeline goals, revenue targets, and integrated marketing priorities
  • Lead the design and execution of a diverse, high-impact events portfolio including trade shows, third-party conferences, executive programs, hosted events, hospitality experiences, and virtual engagements
  • Drive measurable business outcomes by ensuring events contribute to pipeline creation, acceleration, customer retention, and partner engagement
  • Influence cross-functional strategy by partnering with Field Marketing, Sales, and Global Events leaders to align programs with key business initiatives
  • Establish scalable frameworks, playbooks, and governance models to standardize execution and elevate program quality across the region
  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing events team, setting clear priorities, fostering accountability, and building leadership capability within the function
  • Oversee budget strategy and investment optimization, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong return on marketing spend
  • Champion a data-driven approach to performance measurement, defining success metrics and leveraging insights to continuously optimize program effectiveness
  • Strengthen executive and stakeholder engagement by delivering high-quality, strategically aligned experiences that enhance brand perception and customer relationships
  • Manage agency and vendor partnerships to deliver best-in-class execution and innovation across all event formats

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B technology or software event marketing, with demonstrated ownership of regional or global event strategies
  • Proven track record of driving pipeline impact and measurable business outcomes through integrated event programs
  • Strong leadership experience managing and developing teams, with the ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels
  • Deep expertise in event strategy, program management, and large-scale event execution across multiple formats
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional teams to shared business objectives
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets and optimizing investment performance
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience measuring ROI and leveraging data to inform decision making
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
