Part-Time Seasonal Assistant Event Manager
ABOUT MIDTOWN EVENTS, LLC: Midtown Events is dedicated to planning and producing events that enhance the sense of community at North Hills, a mixed-use development located in Midtown Raleigh. These Special Events host a wide variety of guests.
Position Summary:
Assist in the implementation of events through organized and efficient means while adhering to property policies and procedures. Function as part of the onsite events team for Midtown Events in an effort to ensure events are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard. This is a seasonal contract position that will feature a hybrid schedule based on event needs (Beach Music Concerts, Music Fest, Tree Lighting and as needed).
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist other Event Managers in the implementation of signature events to include set up and breakdown duties.
  • Ensure all details of events progress according to the event plan that has been established by Events Team.
  • Onsite assistance with event vendors and performers as assigned for Midtown Events concerts and festivals.
  • Ensure that production timelines and site maps created for individual events are followed and to troubleshoot as required.
  • Collaborate on-site with property departments including Kane Public Safety, Midtown Property Services and Midtown Events interns.
  • Organize special event equipment required per event and perform pre-production and post=production duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with MPS Maintenance as needed for equipment repairs. Communicate supplies and equipment orders as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

General Requirements & Key Competencies:
  • Preferably 2-3 years' experience in event production and management.
  • Basic knowledge of machines, tools, and production equipment (AV, power, and other special event equipment as needed).
  • Must be able to physically move or lift up to 50lbs.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are important; Adaptability is a must.
  • Must be detail oriented as strong organizational and effective time management skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and conflict management skills are necessary.
  • Must be a team player and customer-service oriented.

This role is well suited for an experienced production or events professional seeking a part-time opportunity to contribute one day per week to the North Hills Beach Music Series.
DATES: May - December 2026
HOURS: Roughly 8-10 hours per week - Thursdays.
