Account Manager – Industrial Forklift Batteries
Location: Raleigh, NC
Direct Hire | Base Salary + Commission

Position Summary
The Account Manager will be responsible for developing new business while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role focuses on selling industrial forklift batteries, chargers, battery maintenance programs, and related power solutions to companies that operate electric lift truck fleets.

Success in this role requires strong consultative selling skills, excellent customer relationship management, and the ability to identify opportunities that improve customer productivity while reducing operating costs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan for the Raleigh, North Carolina area.
  • Prospect and acquire new customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts.
  • Conduct facility visits to evaluate customers' battery and charging operations.
  • Recommend battery, charger, and fleet power solutions based on customer needs.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing recommendations.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate with service technicians and operations to ensure successful product installations and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales pipeline in the company's CRM system.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer purchasing patterns.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.
  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience.
  • Experience selling industrial products, material handling equipment, batteries, or capital equipment is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively throughout North Carolina.

What You'll Do
  • Build long-term partnerships with warehouse managers, operations leaders, maintenance managers, and business owners.
  • Help customers improve fleet uptime and lower battery ownership costs.
  • Identify opportunities for battery replacements, charger upgrades, battery room improvements, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales and implementation process.
