Job description

The responsibilities of the Event Manager are to provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event production process to ensure the highest standard of guest satisfaction. This position is responsible for working with management to ensure the success of all club member and catering events throughout the property.  
  • Coordinate with the Catering Director and Food & Beverage Director to ensure all event BEOs are understood and produced with a high level of attention to detail.  
  • Supervise banquet and event staff to ensure they are properly trained and performing their duties.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings to ensure a solid understanding of the events and communicate any questions/details to the management team.
  • Communicate with clients and guests, upon arrival, to ensure all details of events are executed to the guests’ liking.
  • Manage and coordinate food and beverage service during events, ensuring all orders are accurate and timely. 
  • Handle any issues or concerns that may arise during events, such as equipment malfunctions or guest complaints.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Set up and break down banquets, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
  • Inspect banquet rooms to ensure cleanliness and proper setup before events begin.
  • Maintain ‘show ready’ event spaces.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the club.
  • Monitor inventory of banquet supplies and alert management to ordering needs.
  • Ensure compliance with venue policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as kitchen staff and golf staff, to ensure successful events.
  • Provide server/captain coverage in the club’s outlets during slower event periods.
