Job description

Work in multiple gorgeous settings for a well-known and highly respected award-winning organization. The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales efforts focused on a diverse range of events including corporate, social, and weddings. This role requires strategic planning and execution to secure new clients, maintain relationships, and maximize revenue. The manager will also provide support in event planning while collaborating across teams and managing budgets. Local and regional travel is expected to engage with clients and attend events. Most of all this role requires drive and personality...you must bring both!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for corporate, social, mixed, and wedding events
  • Identify and acquire new clients to grow the event sales pipeline
  • Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with clients and vendors
  • Support event planning efforts to align sales proposals with client needs
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and competitive positioning
  • Generate revenue by meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams and attend events to ensure seamless execution
  • Manage budgets related to event sales activities
  • Develop proposals and conduct customer follow-ups to close sales

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in event sales
  • Best candidate will live in the Raleigh east to Rocky Mount area of North Carolina
  • Proficient in sales techniques and customer relationship management (CRM), especially Salesforce
  • Strong negotiation and event coordination skills
  • Experience in market research to support sales strategies
  • Excellent communication, time management, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
