Epic Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains

EPIC Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains is a beautiful top rated 160-bed new skilled nursing & rehabilitation center opened in 2020 in the heart of White Plains. Come join a family of facilities in New York State. Intrinsic to each facility in the EPIC portfolio are the words "Rehabilitation & Healthcare", as our overriding goal is to rehabilitate patients and successfully return them to their lives. For those who have come to reside permanently, we aim to create the best possible environment while optimizing their quality of life.

Registered Nurse, RN utilizes the nursing process in the care of designated residents, administers medications & treatments to residents, & documents appropriately on assigned nursing unit.

Registered Nurse, RN reports findings of ongoing observations/assessments to the designated charge nurse, nursing supervisor, &/or unit manager.

Registered Nurse, RN demonstrates knowledge of basic test/lab collection values, deliver direct resident care consistent with the policies/procedures & resident bill of rights, in combination with demonstrated clinical skills/knowledge.

Identify/respond timely to patient concerns/needs.

Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills necessary to ensure appropriate quality patient care.

Registered Nurse, RN will prepare resident assignments considering the category of needs of the patient & competency of personnel, monitor/evaluate the flow of activity & delivery of patient care provided (positioning, bathing, etc.) & assure documentation records (ADLs, meal intake, etc.) are completed for CNAs.

Registered Nurse, RN is punctual and/or provides proper notification for lateness or absenteeism.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Licensed & registered in good standing in New York State as an RN
  • Experience with geriatric patients is desirable, but not required. New grad RN welcome to apply!
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, & disabled
  • Possess a spirit of cooperation & enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation & growth
  • Knowledge of medical, social, & psychological needs of residents, general nursing theory & practice, & infection prevention principles/methods
  • Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, & staff
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC
