What is a Seasonal Outpatient PACU RN?

A Seasonal Outpatient PACU RN is a registered nurse who works in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a temporary or seasonal basis, typically during periods of high patient volume. These nurses care for patients recovering from anesthesia after outpatient surgeries, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring safe recovery before discharge. Their seasonal role means they may be employed for specific months, such as during flu season or when hospitals expect increased surgical cases. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition, and current RN licensure.
