Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU - Travel - (PACU RN)
StartDate: 6/22/2026 Available Shifts: 10 D Pay Rate: $3095.00 - $3286.00
The San Marcos Outpatient Facility is looking for an excellent expreienced Pre/Post OP RN to join their team. Additional Unit Information: Outpatient Center, RN to work in the procedure area RN may float to Garfield surgery center approx 20 miles away 1.Unit Name: Interventional Anesthesia 2 Unit Type: Procedural suite 3.Typical nurse to patient ratio for this unit, size of unit, acuity on 1-4 scale, and average length of stay: 1:3 4. Typical diagnoses of patients cared for in your unit: Pain procedure steroidal injection in cervical spine and/or lumbar 5. Special skills required of travel nurses in your unit (e.g., certifications, knowledge of equipment, vents, drips, sheath removal, chest tubes, types of beds, drug protocols, etc.,): Procedural sedation experience, OR experience, BLS,ACLS certification, 6. Most common medications the nurses in your unit MUST be familiar with: Fentanyl, Verad, Dexmethasone 7. Areas that travel nurses would be required to float to: Dedicated suites for Interventional Anesthesia and the OR 8. Are unlicensed assistive personnel or other nurse extenders used in this unit? If so, what types and what typical duties do they perform? Scrub techs and medical assistance 9. Specific computer skills that would be helpful for travel nurses to have: Kaiser Permanente Health Connect INTERVIEW PROCESS: NM will review file and approve/decline
Required Qualifications
Must be willing to float between all San DIego facilities as needed; SMMC, SMMC Medical Office, Zion, SDMC, Otay ASU, or GAR ASU.
1 year PACU recent Experience
Pre op exp
ACLS, BLS, PALS
Preferred Qualifications
Primary patient care are adults.
PALS - Must have prior to starting due to small of PEDS patients
