About the Job
Join Our Surgical Services Team!
We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time temporary contract in Lapeer, MI. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality post-operative care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Position Details:
  • Job Type: Temporary / Full-Time Contract.
  • Location: Lapeer, MI.
  • Shift: Days (12-hour shifts).
  • Hours: 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM.
  • Weekend Requirement: Call coverage only.
  • On-Call: 4-6 twelve-hour call shifts per 28-day schedule (includes weekend call).
Responsibilities:
  • Provide post-anesthesia nursing care for adult and pediatric surgical patients.
  • Monitor patient recovery, airway stability, vital signs, pain, and sedation levels.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to PACU protocols.
  • Recognize and respond to post-operative complications and emergencies.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.
