How much do entry level onboarding jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 19, 2026, the average hourly pay for entry level onboarding in the United States is $25.95, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $18.99 and $29.09 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How can I make $2000 a week working from home?

Entry level onboarding roles typically do not pay $2000 per week; however, increasing earnings can involve taking on multiple remote positions, developing specialized skills, or working freelance in related areas like customer support or administrative tasks. Building experience, obtaining relevant certifications, and leveraging online platforms can help increase income potential over time.

What is entry level onboarding?

Entry level onboarding is the process of integrating new employees who are just starting out in their careers into an organization. It typically includes orientation, training, and familiarization with company policies, culture, and job responsibilities. The goal is to help new hires become productive and comfortable in their roles as quickly as possible, while also ensuring they understand expectations and available resources.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Entry-level onboarding roles typically do not pay $10,000 a month; high earnings at this level are uncommon. However, some sales positions, such as commission-based sales or real estate agents, can reach that income level with experience, strong performance, and relevant skills. These roles often require excellent communication, persistence, and sometimes industry-specific certifications or licenses.

What is the 70 30 rule in hiring?

The 70 30 rule in hiring suggests that employers should spend approximately 70% of their time evaluating candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit, and 30% on assessing their potential for growth and adaptability. For entry-level onboarding roles, this approach helps identify candidates who can develop and succeed within the organization. It emphasizes balancing technical qualifications with soft skills and attitude.

How to become an onboarding specialist with no experience?

To become an onboarding specialist with no experience, focus on developing strong communication and organizational skills, and consider gaining familiarity with HR software and onboarding processes. Entry-level roles often require a high school diploma or equivalent, and some employers may provide on-the-job training or prefer candidates with customer service or administrative experience.

What are some common challenges faced by entry-level onboarding specialists, and how can they be addressed?

Entry-level onboarding specialists often encounter challenges such as managing multiple onboarding schedules, ensuring new hires receive consistent and accurate information, and adapting to the needs of diverse team members. To address these issues, it's important to stay organized, use standardized checklists, and communicate regularly with both new hires and other departments. Building strong relationships with HR, IT, and hiring managers can also help resolve issues quickly and create a smoother onboarding experience for everyone involved.

What is the difference between Entry Level Onboarding vs Customer Service Representative?

AspectEntry Level OnboardingCustomer Service Representative
Required CredentialsHigh school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; communication skills
Work EnvironmentHR departments, office settings, onboarding sessionsCall centers, retail, office environments
Industry UsageHR, corporate onboarding processesRetail, telecommunications, hospitality
Common Search IntentUnderstanding onboarding processes for entry-level rolesCustomer service job requirements and duties

Entry Level Onboarding focuses on guiding new employees through company policies and procedures, typically within HR departments. Customer Service Representatives handle client interactions and support, often in retail or call centers. While onboarding prepares employees for their roles, customer service roles involve direct customer engagement. Both roles are entry-level but serve different functions within organizations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level Onboarding Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Onboarding Specialist, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of HR processes, often supported by a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field. Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS), onboarding software, and document management tools is typically required. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a customer service mindset help create a positive experience for new hires. These skills ensure smooth integration of new employees, compliance with company policies, and contribute to employee retention and satisfaction.

Job description

Entry-Level Recruiter / Sales Trainee

Location: Irvine, CA | On-site

Launch a career in sales, recruiting, and consulting—fast

This is not a traditional recruiting role—and it’s not a typical entry-level job.

We’re hiring an Entry-Level Recruiter / Sales Trainee to join a team that helps companies solve critical hiring challenges by connecting them with specialized talent.

In this role, you’ll learn how to:

  • Build relationships with hiring leaders and candidates
  • Identify business needs and hiring gaps
  • Drive interviews, offers, and placements that impact revenue

You’ll operate within a structured business cycle that combines sales, recruiting, and client consulting, giving you a foundation to grow into Account Management, Business Development, or Leadership roles.

What You’ll DoProspect & Build Relationships
  • Reach out to candidates and professionals through calls, LinkedIn, and email
  • Build relationships and gather market insight
  • Learn how companies operate and how hiring supports their business

👉 The role is built on a structured process that starts with prospecting and relationship-building as core activities

Qualify Hiring Needs
  • Ask targeted, business-focused questions to understand roles and teams
  • Identify required skills, success factors, and hiring timelines
  • Determine what “great” looks like for each opportunity

Strong qualification is critical—top performers consistently generate new requirements and understand the full business context behind each hire

Source, Screen & Match Talent
  • Identify qualified candidates through sourcing and outreach
  • Conduct interviews and assess skills, goals, and fit
  • Prepare candidates for interviews and drive feedback

Manage Relationships & Deliver Results
  • Maintain ongoing communication with placed consultants
  • Support strong first-day and onboarding experiences
  • Build long-term relationships that lead to repeat business

👉 The business emphasizes a full lifecycle approach: source → screen → select → service to drive successful outcomes

Training & Career Growth

You’ll go through a structured training program designed to build your skills step-by-step:

Early Ramp
  • Learn core sales and recruiting fundamentals
  • Shadow experienced team members
  • Begin outreach, sourcing, and qualification conversations
Ongoing Development
  • Structured progression through the business cycle
  • Continuous coaching and feedback from leadership
  • Clear performance milestones tied to advancement

The Sales Awareness Program is designed as a multi-session learning path covering prospecting, engagement, qualification, sourcing, and service behaviors

How the Team Operates

You won’t operate in a silo.

  • Work side-by-side with sales and recruiting partners
  • Align daily on priorities, candidates, and strategy
  • Review progress and adjust approach as a team

The organization uses a structured Chair Up / Chair Down cadence to drive alignment, accountability, and daily execution across recruiting and sales

Who Succeeds Here

This role is best for someone who is:

  • Competitive and motivated by measurable performance
  • Comfortable communicating with new people daily
  • Coachable and eager to learn a structured process
  • Resilient and able to stay consistent through rejection
  • Interested in building a long-term career in sales or recruiting

Preferred Background
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in customer-facing, sales, leadership, or team environments preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

What You Get
  • Base salary + performance-based earning potential
  • Structured onboarding and development program
  • Clear promotion path into sales and account management
  • A role where performance directly impacts growth and opportunity

Why This Role Stands Out

Most entry-level roles teach you tasks.

This role teaches you how to:

  • Understand how businesses hire and scale
