Job description

A Japanese-affiliated logistics company in the Bay Area (San Mateo County) is seeking an Import & Export Coordinator to join their team.

This position is a great opportunity for someone interested in logistics, international trade, or office operations. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply, and training will be provided as you learn the day-to-day operations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review import/export documents for accuracy
  • Data entry and transmission of shipment information
  • Monitor cargo release and arrival status
  • Create delivery orders and shipment files
  • Communicate with U.S. Customs, vendors, clients, airlines, and shipping companies
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding shipment status and documentation
  • Provide administrative and operational support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the logistics field is a plus, but not required
  • Basic computer and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and responsible
  • Interest in logistics, import/export, or international business preferred
  • Previous office experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation:
$24–28/hr DOE

Work Hours:

M-F 25-29 hours/wk
