International Freight Forwarding Coordinator โ€“ Air & Ocean

Salary: $50,000โ€“$55,000 | Full-Time

We are recruiting for multiple opportunities with established companies in the international freight forwarding and global logistics industry. We are seeking experienced logistics professionals with hands-on experience coordinating air and/or ocean import/export shipments from origin through final delivery.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinate international air and/or ocean import and export shipments
  • Manage shipments from booking or pre-alert through customs clearance and final delivery
  • Communicate with customers, overseas agents, airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, truckers, terminals, and warehouses
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation including bills of lading, air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, arrival notices, and ISF documentation
  • Track shipment milestones, vessel/flight schedules, container availability, and delivery status
  • Coordinate customs clearance, drayage, trucking, and final-mile delivery
  • Provide customers with proactive shipment updates and resolve delays or operational issues
  • Monitor demurrage, detention, holds, and other shipment-related exceptions
  • Maintain accurate shipment information within freight forwarding or transportation management systems
  • Assist with shipment billing, costing, vendor invoices, and documentation

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, air freight, and/or ocean freight
  • Experience with international import and/or export operations
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding documentation and terminology
  • Experience working with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and transportation providers
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with CargoWise or another freight forwarding system is a plus

We are interested in candidates with backgrounds in Ocean Import, Ocean Export, Air Import, Air Export, AOG/Aerospace Logistics, or general International Freight Forwarding.
