Job description

CTG is seeking a Document Scanning Operator to support our client's Digital Imaging Center in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will assist with the preparation, scanning, and indexing of physical documents to convert them into digital formats while ensuring all images meet quality and customer standards.
Location: Chantilly, VA
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 3pm - 11pm
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Pay Rate: $20.17/hr
This position supports day-to-day imaging operations and plays an important role in meeting project deadlines and service level agreements.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, clips, rubber bands, and bindings
  • Validate and reconcile boxes and files received for processing
  • Scan documents using high-speed scanning equipment
  • Perform visual quality checks to ensure images are clear and accurate
  • Insert separator sheets and organize documents for proper imaging
  • Identify oversized or exception documents and escalate when necessary
  • Index scanned images according to customer guidelines
  • Follow all safety and security procedures
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by the lead or manager

Physical Requirements
  • Move and handle boxes of documents as needed
  • Load paper into scanning equipment
  • Perform repetitive hand and finger movements while preparing and scanning documents

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Qualifications
  • Experience with document scanning, records management, data entry, or office support
  • Familiarity with high-volume document processing
  • Experience using MS Office and basic data entry tools
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in a secure work environment
