Financial Operations Support Associate

Location: Owings Mills, MD (100% Onsite) - MUST RESIDE IN AREA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:45 PM

Join a leading investment management and financial services organization as a Financial Operations Support Associate. This role is responsible for supporting critical operational processes related to incoming investor correspondence, financial documents, and check processing activities. Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and process incoming mail and correspondence from individual investors and institutional clients.
  • Scan and upload documents into automated workflow systems, ensuring accurate routing to the appropriate business units.
  • Process incoming checks and financial documents in accordance with established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist with bank deposit preparation, transaction processing, and workflow distribution activities.
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before processing.
  • Support internal business partners with document retrieval requests, mail inquiries, and operational support tasks.
  • Accurately maintain records and ensure proper filing and organization of sensitive financial documents.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and workflows to meet service-level expectations and operational deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Participate in monthly operational activities and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in administrative support, operations support, mailroom processing, document handling, banking operations, or a related environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with document scanning, filing, mail processing, or records management.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, production-based environment.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong reading, math, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within financial services, banking, investment operations, insurance, or back-office processing environments.
  • Previous experience with check processing, deposits, payment processing, or transaction operations.
  • Familiarity with workflow management systems and imaging platforms.

  • Approximately 70% seated work and 30% movement throughout the office.
