Job description

The Distribution Manager oversees all cylinder movement into and out ofthe facility and leads all distribution planning. This role ensures safe, efficient, andcompliant distribution operations while supporting on-time delivery commitmentsto internal and external customers. The position reports directly to the Director ofOperations.
Essential Functions
Scope of Responsibility
• Manages the Distribution function within the branch, operating withinestablished policies and standards.
• Translates divisional goals into clear operational objectives, workassignments, and short-term plans.
• Oversees staffing levels, workflow, fleet operations, compliance, andinventory planning.
• Impacts departmental operating budgets and supervises distribution personnel.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all vehicle fleet maintenance, inspections, and registrationrequirements.
• Shareresponsibility for completing Site Surveys to ensure safe delivery for newcustomers.
• Schedule workforce hours for all Distribution personnel; all overtimerequires Branch Manager approval.
• Maintain all required DOT documentation and driver qualification files.
-Will be responsiblefor performing observations and ride-a-longs with drivers as needed to evaluateskills.
• Ensure safe operations across all distribution areas, including propershutdown procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with Management Team members, internalpartners, and external customers.
• Support and execute continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean/SixSigma.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Adobe, Outlook, Webex, TIMS a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements(CFR, OSHA, EPA, SAHRA, DOT).
• Experience in specialty, medical, or industrial cylinder operations.
• Background in manufacturing of industrial, medical, or specialty gases,including pure gases and gas blends; experience with hydrocarbons or similarindustries is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
