Job description

TNT is looking to add an experienced full-time Dispatch Manager to our growing Branch. The following are a list of requirements; You must meet all the requirements below to be considered for this position. Summary: The Dispatch Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all available trucks, cranes, and fleet vehicles are dispatched efficiently and accurately to maximize revenue. A high level of detail is required for this position, as the dispatch manager interacts with both the customer and the driver to ensure that loads are covered. This position oversees and supervises the dispatch department and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 2+ Dispatching supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Department of Transportation requirements as pertains to Hours of Service, Pre/Post Trip Inspections, medical qualification, post-accident drug testing, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook) and ability to quickly master in-house dispatch software
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting and performing applicable changes in the logging system
• Proficiency in reviewing, coaching and training utilizing FCC (Fleet Cost and Care) and DriveCams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under stress and time pressures, prioritizing work while thinking proactively
• Demonstrated ability to address/solve exceptions to trip assignments in a pro-active, real-time manner to ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the contract
• Must have excellent organizational skills, exhibit strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task
• Must be self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
