Job Title: Director, Technology Strategy (Intelligent Work Orchestration)

We are seeking a Director, Intelligent Work Orchestration to join our Technology Strategy team.

Intelligent Work Orchestration (IWO) is our discipline for intentionally orchestrating how work gets done - activating strategy, structure, people, culture, process, data, technology, and AI into orchestrated, interconnected components that drive measurable business outcomes.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who understands that transformation is not a technology initiative alone, but an alignment challenge. You will help organizations move from fragmented execution and siloed functions to orchestrated workflows that enable efficiency, speed, scale, and adaptability.

As a Director within the IWO practice, you will lead complex client engagements, shape orchestration programs, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders navigating large-scale transformation. You will also play an active role in growing the practice - contributing to business development, scoping engagements, and refining how we take IWO to market. This role reports to a Sr. Director, Technology Strategy. This is a remote role with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Intelligent Work Orchestration engagements focused on diagnosing and redesigning how work flows across strategy, structure, people, culture, process, data, technology, and AI.

  • Facilitate executive and cross-functional workshops that drive clarity, use case identification, prioritization, and alignment.

  • Present findings and strategic pathways to senior stakeholders with confidence and influence.

  • Conduct discovery and cross-functional assessments to identify misalignment, friction, governance gaps, and high-impact opportunities.

  • Design and structure orchestration programs that integrate the right mix of organizational, process, governance, and technology changes to solve client challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Develop phased transformation roadmaps aligned to business objectives and measurable value realization.

  • Facilitate executive and cross-functional workshops that bring clarity to complex organizational challenges.

  • Translate discovery insights into actionable recommendations and executive-ready narratives.

  • Align process redesign with organizational design and change enablement strategies.

  • Partner with other strategy and delivery teams to drive implementation of recommendations.

  • Oversee solution alignment across workstreams to ensure cohesion, sequencing, and business impact.

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders to serve as a trusted advisor during transformation.

  • Partner closely with Program and Project Management leads to structure delivery plans, milestones, and governance models.

  • Help create clarity across pods and cross-functional teams to reduce friction and increase coordination.

  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, scoping engagements, and client qualification for IWO opportunities.

  • Help shape how IWO offerings are packaged, positioned, and brought to market.

  • Contribute to internal capability development, methodology refinement, and thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in consulting, transformation, operations, marketing operations, digital transformation, or organizational design

  • 3-5+ years in a consulting or transformation advisory capacity, including client-facing engagement leadership.

  • 2+ years program or project management experience preferred.

  • Track record in leading client engagements and providing presentations and deliverables to clients

  • Experience structuring and leading complex, multi-workstream programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to package strategic recommendations into actionable programs and sequenced workstreams.

  • Experience selling/pitching/scoping transformation-type engagements

  • Experience guiding or leading implementations and working with cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Strong workshop facilitation and executive presence.

  • Experience aligning senior stakeholders and building consensus across functions.

  • Understanding of how strategy, structure, governance, people, process, data, and technology interact inside large organizations.

  • Familiarity with AI automation, agentic workflows, or human-AI collaboration design is strongly preferred.

  • Experience contributing to and shaping client proposals, defining engagement scope, and participating in qualification and pitch conversations

  • Familiarity with enterprise digital, workflow, data, or marketing ecosystems is beneficial but not the primary focus.

  • Experience with work management platforms such as Workfront, Asana, or similar tools preferred.

  • Experience working in or alongside marketing, agency, or enterprise operations environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
