SUMMARY

The Director, Global Partnership Development, will be responsible for prospecting, pursuing, and developing new sponsorship partnerships for the Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center, NY Liberty, and Long Island Nets, plus current and future affiliated properties. They must possess great energy, a strong sales background, and excellent communication skills. The Director, Global Partnership Development will report to the Vice President, Partnership Development.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve as a key member of the sales and new business development team, driving new partnership revenue for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment
  • Lead with a relentless pursuit of new sales prospects through creative and innovative prospecting techniques and tactics
  • Develop, present and close six and seven figure partnerships to accomplish personal and team sales goals
  • Proactively seek, build, and cultivate domestic and international business relationships in key markets and categories
  • Attend network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with potential clients and professional bodies
  • Assist in the exploration and growth of portfolio partnerships by leveraging creative ideas for new out-of-the-box assets and generating new leads in emerging categories
  • Monitor the competitive marketplace, including local and national sports and entertainment properties
  • Create and effectively maintain reporting documents in an organized manner, including pipeline contacts, proposals, next steps, forecast revenue in CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-function teams to drive new partnership revenue - Partnership Marketing, Legal, Marketing, Game Presentation, Content, Community Relations and more
  • Utilize business industry intel, analytics and research as a pillar of prospecting and pitch process
  • Work closely with the Business Operations and Partner Solutions teams to expedite the sales process and produce world class pitches and proposals to prospective partners
  • Maintain strong relationships internally with key departments that impact and work with the Global Partnerships team on a daily basis
  • Build and maintain relationships with key sports and marketing agencies to unlock opportunities with brands they represent

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of experience in Partnership Sales required
  • Sports and/or arena industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and CRM software (Salesforce preferred)

COMPENSATION

$115,000 - $130,000 base salary, plus commission potential

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Travel Requirements: May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
