The Director, Technology Operations leads the strategic planning and execution of large-scale technology programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence. This role oversees financial management, risk mitigation, and performance measurement while fostering strong stakeholder relationships to drive informed decision-making. The position requires expertise in program and project management, technology strategy, and business operations to deliver measurable value. The Director champions continuous improvement, mentors teams, and promotes effective communication across multiple business units to support organizational success and innovation within a dynamic technology environment.
About the team:
The Technology Operations team leads the design and execution of scalable technology strategies that support Walmart Marketplace’s global partner ecosystem. This team manages end-to-end partner integration, focusing on API development, onboarding, and technical capabilities to enhance partner scalability and adoption. Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketplace teams, they drive innovation through partner insights and ensure consistent, high-quality technology delivery worldwide. The team emphasizes operational excellence, performance measurement, and governance to align technology initiatives with business objectives, fostering a seamless developer experience that accelerates partner success and marketplace growth.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of large-scale technology programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize financial performance and ROI.
  • Define program charters, performance baselines, and success metrics across multiple project tracks.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to influence decisions and drive alignment.
  • Oversee risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and scenario planning to ensure program delivery.
  • Provide technology insights to guide strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Mentor and develop talent to strengthen team capabilities and succession planning.
