  • Analyze how edge computing, connectivity and distributed intelligence enable physical AI use cases relevant to Ericsson and its customers.
  • Identify and structure priority use cases (e.g., industrial operations, logistics, field service, telco/network operations) and assess their technical maturity and strategic relevance.
  • Synthesize findings into a concise, well structured report that highlights trends, gaps, and opportunities for Ericsson.
  • Develop outside in recommendations on where MACS S&T should focus (technology domains, experiments, partnerships) and present your conclusions to stakeholders.

You will bring
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Robotics, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in AI + robotics/embodied intelligence and/or edge computing; familiarity with at least one of:

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills - able to read technical material (papers, specs, documentation) and extract what matters.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable producing executive ready summaries and recommendations.
  • Self driven, curious, and comfortable working in an exploratory, research heavy environment.

Eligibility requirements:
  • 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • Available for a full-time internship
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or Masters on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
