The Impact you will have in this role:

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
 

    • Provide endtoend leadership and accountability for multiple engineering teams and assigned business applications or platforms, ensuring reliable delivery and operational excellence.
    • Lead globally distributed onshore and offshore teams, establishing clear expectations, ownership, and effective execution across locations.
    • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery to enhance stability, resiliency, and risk mitigation.
    • Partner with business users and senior IT leaders to ensure delivery is aligned with product roadmaps, transformation goals, and enterprise priorities.
    • Balance demand, capacity, and budgets across short and longterm horizons, refining estimates to optimize resource allocation across teams.
    • Foster an inclusive culture of collaboration, continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
    • Guide resolution of complex technical issues through root cause analysis, ensuring durable and sustainable outcomes.
    • Oversee success criteria from design through deployment, including nonfunctional requirements such as performance, security, scalability, and recoverability.
    • Lead platform and cloud modernization toward AWSbased and containerized architectures, while overseeing Oracle and Snowflake platforms.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and control requirements, demonstrating strong ethical leadership and minimizing daytoday executive escalation.

Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with substantial experience leading engineering managers and senior technical professionals.
    • Proven experience leading teams and applications built using Java and/or Python, with the ability to provide architectural guidance, set standards, and evaluate tradeoffs.
    • Demonstrated success managing eventdriven, distributed, or platformoriented systems in complex enterprise environments.
    • Strong experience driving cloud and platform modernization initiatives on AWS, spanning application, infrastructure, and data layers.
    • Experience guiding teams adopting containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) and modern DevOps/CICD practices.
    • Working knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake, with experience overseeing dataintensive and analyticsenabled platforms.
    • Experience working in highly regulated, highavailability environments, with an understanding of risk management, resiliency, and compliance expectations.
    • Strong leadership presence and communication skills, with the ability to operate independently and effectively at senior levels of the organization.
