Description
The Development Coordinator must possess an AA in Business Administration or related field with a minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in development, with significant major gift experience and background in individual and corporate fundraising. Proven ability to work creatively and effectively with a wide variety of people and interest groups. Requires a demonstrated commitment and respect for the Catholic Church and for the tenants of Catholic Social teaching.
The Development Coordinator is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to increase net revenue and expand sources of support for the school. This role develops and implements comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual giving, major gifts, and capital campaigns, while supporting budget priorities and strategic planning efforts. The Development Coordinator works closely with school leadership to strengthen donor relationships, enhance community engagement, and ensure long-term financial sustainability in alignment with the mission of Catholic education.
Requirements
  • Support the philosophy of Catholic education and advocates, encourages, counsels, and witnesses in keeping with the beliefs of the Catholic faith and teachings.
  • Identifies and cultivate relationships with major dons and sponsors.
  • Acts as spokesperson with current and prospective donors. Works to maintain and increase the level of funding received from donors.
  • Maintains relationships with key stakeholders in the Catholic community.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with foundations, corporations, and other partners.
  • Develop appropriate relationships with all constituents.
  • Designs, implements, and manages activities including annual giving, fundraising, and capital campaigns.
  • Manage all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations.
  • Enters and manages all donations with One Cause or equivalent software.
  • Facilitates matching gifts
  • Experience with One Cause or comparable database software
  • Ability to achieve results while respecting others; strong propensity towards collaboration and teamwork; flexible and adaptable.

  • Possess sensitivity to cultural differences present in the service population, staff, and volunteers, and have the ability to forge mutually respectful supportive working relationships.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in collaborating with the Principal to plan, coordinate, and execute school functions.
