Job Description:

WHO WE ARE:

Saks Global is the largest multi-brand luxury retailer in the world, comprising Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks OFF 5TH. Powered by our talented colleagues, we are redefining luxury shopping by offering each customer a personalized experience across our store network and e-commerce platforms. Through strong partnerships with the world's most esteemed brands, cutting-edge technology and the industry's most comprehensive luxury customer data, Saks Global is shaping the future of retail.

YOU WILL BE:

The Director, Cross-Category eCommerce (Saks) serves as the primary "sharp point" for the daily performance and end-to-end (E2E) experience of the Saks digital storefront. Reporting to the AVP, this leader is responsible for driving eCommerce financial performance-including sales, margin, and key KPIs-by leveraging competitive insights, site metrics, and customer data. This leader will also oversee promotional performance for the website, which includes promotional financial projections, promotional performance tracking, and recapping, in partnership with the Promotional Marketing team. This role ultimately bridges the gap between merchant strategy and operational execution, managing the "demand-to-net" lifecycle to ensure a seamless luxury journey from discovery to delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Financial Performance: Drive E2E eCommerce financial performance (sales, margin, and KPIs) by leveraging competitive insights and site metrics to optimize growth.

  • Demand-to-Net Management: Manage demand-to-net initiatives, monitoring performance, VOC feedback, and trends across fill-rates, cancellations, and returns.

  • Operational Troubleshooting: Partner with cross-functional (XF) teams to understand and course-correct underlying drivers of friction within the customer journey.

  • Performance Insights: Create detailed performance recaps with a strong pulse on risks and opportunities across KPIs, promotions, price types, and demand-to-net metrics.

  • Strategic Execution: Guide merchant teams to ensure brand selection and presentation strategies align with Saks' luxury positioning and customer demand.

  • Conversion Optimization: Use digital metrics and performance data to optimize product discovery, conversion, and site navigation.

  • Experience Enhancements: (Longer-term) Support the roadmap for UX/UI enhancements across the site to drive personalization and improved discovery.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Managers and Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):

  • Professional Experience: Typically 8-10+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce, product management, or category management within a retail or online business.

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team of managers, merchandisers, or analysts

  • Analytical Prowess: Expert-level skills in interpreting complex data (sales, customer behavior, market trends) via Adobe Analytics, Excel, and data visualization software.

  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of financial metrics, margin analysis, and the operational drivers of the "demand-to-net" lifecycle.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify market trends and develop actionable plans that align with broader business objectives.

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams including marketing, supply chain, IT, and finance.

YOUR LIFE AND CAREER AT SAKS GLOBAL:

  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment at a company experiencing growth and transformation

  • Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities across the largest multi-brand luxury retailer from retail to distribution, to digital or corporate

  • Comprehensive benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental)

  • An amazing employee discount

Benefits: We offer the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, basic life insurance, supplemental life insurance, disability insurance, and a variety of additional voluntary benefits (such as critical illness, hospital and accident insurance).
