We have an immediate opening for a Digital Director to join our Consumer Lifestyle Team. We believe in creativity and thoughtful strategy with the ability to be both nimble and intentional to deliver exceptional work to our clients. A successful candidate will be hungry to learn and grow in the lifestyle and CPG space, supporting breakthrough marketing efforts on a team that blends PR, influencer and digital work.

What You'll Do:

We believe in creativity, being nimble, moving quickly to capitalize on opportunities and delivering exceptional work to our clients.

Social-First Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute integrated social strategies that align with business goals and create new relevance for familiar brands in the Lifestyle space.
  • Build tailored digital and social playbooks that combine earned, and organic strategies, ensuring brands show up authentically.
  • Stay obsessed with social trends-from TikTok sounds to Instagram aesthetics-and translate memes, moments, and behaviors into meaningful brand activations.
  • Collaborate with creative, digital, and media teams to shape platform-specific campaigns that resonate with online audiences.
  • Inform influencer marketing efforts, partnering with our influencer team and working with creators who align with the brand and building authentic partnerships.

Client Leadership

  • Serve as day-to-day client lead on all things social, not only answering incoming communications but anticipating needs
  • Provide counsel to clients on staying culturally relevant and platform-optimized.
  • Be visible to clients, presenting campaign ideas, strategic recommendations, and performance insights in meetings, emails, or on-camera.

Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Mentor and inspire team members, fostering innovation and growth across the department.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Oversee community management strategies, guiding the tone of brand responses to keep conversations relevant and engaging.
  • Work closely with creative teams to develop engaging social content that aligns with each platform's best practices and emerging trends.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate campaign success across platforms.
  • Lead real-time reporting during campaigns, providing actionable insights to optimize performance mid-flight.
  • Monitor platform updates and algorithm changes, ensuring strategies evolve with social trends.

What You'll Bring

The job requires:

  • 6+ years of experience working in digital and social media, in an agency setting or in-house
  • Experience with driving a brand's social media and content strategy, developing social media strategies and playbooks
  • Experience overseeing the social media content production process for a brand, and overseeing creative teams, photoshoots and video shoots with onset experience
  • Strong understanding of social media measurement, how to tie results back to client and business goals, and how to merchandize results
  • Has experience overseeing influencer marketing programs/campaigns (contracting content creators for UGC-style content, maker content lo-fi reels and collaboration content)
  • Has knowledge about the paid social space, but not a must
  • Experience managing digital initiatives preferred. Examples include web or app development, chat bots, innovative use of emerging technology, CRM and email marketing
  • Strong understanding of how digital and social media fit into the broader marketing mix
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excels at client service and providing strategic, thoughtful counsel
  • A great manager, good mentor and an organized, communicative project leader
  • Good at time and project management
  • Is self-directed, motivated, takes ownership of projects and follows them through to the end. Knows how to manage up to get what they need to succeed
  • Can stay centered and work effectively in a fast-moving environment

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.
