Job description

Deputy Digital Director (Fundraising)

Rob Sand for Iowa is hiring a Deputy Digital Director (Fundraising) to work on our gubernatorial campaign. As part of the campaign's digital team, this person will work under the Digital Director on the creation, management, and optimization of digital content for our campaign social media and in coordination with the campaign's finance team to create and implement fundraising strategies that coincide with our fundraising partner programs.

Other tasks will include: platform & digital engagement management, analyzing data, and growing/optimizing our digital footprint. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, problem-solver, and passionate about electing Rob Sand as the next Governor of Iowa.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working on a campaign digital program with a preference to those who have had success in digital fundraising for a political campaign, non-profit, or other organization.
  • Experience creating content for a fundraising text program using a broadcast messaging system (IE: Switchboard)
  • Strong writing skills accompanied by experience drafting SMS, D2D, website, partner & principal email fundraising messages and social media content in a wide range of voices.
  • Excellent organization & project management skills in a fast-moving & demanding environment.
  • Deep understanding of platform-native storytelling & narrative building best practices.
  • Knowledge of social media channels, tools, and analytics.
  • Experience with Adobe software, CRMs, HTML, ActBlue and NGP preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Digital Director and digital fundraising vendors to craft and execute aggressive digital fundraising strategies and identify opportunities for growth across email, SMS, D2D, website, and partner fundraising online.
  • Working closely with the finance team to hone accurate projections that directly inform cash flow.
  • Managing the digital fundraising partner program, including coordinating partner sends with key stakeholders and drafting copy when needed.
  • Overseeing the digital fundraising approvals process to ensure all deliverables are approved and launched in a timely manner.
  • Writing fundraising copy.
  • Assisting the Digital Director as needed, including staffing, editing content, and drafting social media copy.
