Overview

The Director of Virtual Care & Digital Product will lead the strategy, build, and growth of the organization's virtual care service line. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this leader will own the digital hub, technology ecosystem, patient acquisition funnel, and commercial performance of virtual services.

This role will drive the end-to-end digital patient journey, from awareness and conversion through visit execution and retention, ensuring virtual care becomes a scalable, high-performing growth channel for the organization.

Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this job but are not intended to be all-inclusive. The essential functions include the most significant tasks and are the essence of why the role exists; removing an essential duty would fundamentally alter the role.

Digital Hub Development

  • Build and oversee the virtual care technology stack (telehealth, scheduling and intake, EHR integration, CRM, content development and delivery, patient community/engagement and analytics).
  • Define build vs. buy strategy.
  • Establish product roadmap governance and agile operating cadence.
  • Ensure scalable infrastructure for multi-market growth.

Commercial Performance Ownership

  • Own virtual care growth KPIs:
    • Patient acquisition volume
    • Conversion rate
    • Service Mix
    • Retention
    • Revenue and EBITDA growth from virtual care services
  • Optimize CAC, LTV, and channel contribution margin (in partnership with Finance and Marketing).

Patient Journey Optimization

  • Define end-to-end digital patient journey from awareness, lead generation, sales funnel, scheduling, intake, visit and follow-up.
  • Reduce friction in sales funnel, scheduling, intake, payment, and post-visit engagement.
  • Implement testing and continuous optimization processes.

Labor Model & Expansion Strategy

  • Design scalable staffing model aligned to growth targets in partnership with finance and operations.
  • Forecast demand to inform provider and staffing capacity planning.
  • Identify priority states for expansion based on demand, reimbursement, and licensing feasibility.
  • Define multi-state roadmap and implementation timeline
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in digital health, virtual care, or healthcare technology.
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with P&L or commercial ownership.
  • Experience with multi-state or multi-market expansion.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a telehealth or digital health product/service line.
  • Fluency with telehealth platforms, EHR systems, CRM tools, scheduling/intake technology, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with agile product development methodologies and roadmap governance Strong commercial acumen with ability to own and report on growth KPIs.
  • Ability to translate strategy into operational execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Data-driven decision-making and comfort with analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence; ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Strong project and vendor management skills.
