Job description

The eCommerce Paid Advertising Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing paid shopping campaigns through Google, Facebook, Tik Tok, Instacart, and other social platforms. This team member reports to the VP of Strategy and Innovation and works closely with other strategists, creatives, and our client services team to find new and innovative ways to maximize the performance of paid advertising.

Position Responsibilities:

Build and manage Shopping campaigns (Google), Paid Search (Google/Bing), and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

Perform optimization techniques, including but not limited to, bid adjustments, negative keywords, keyword additions, platform exclusions, and structural changes.

Determine campaign structure to efficiently manage clientsโ€™ budgets and optimize for ROI, ROAS, CPA, revenue goals, and other key performance indicators.

Advise on creative to boost performance.

Advise on monthly advertising budgets when needed based on keyword search volume, estimated cost per click, competition, and clientโ€™s goals.

Optimize clientsโ€™ accounts for maximum performance using PPC best practices.

Learn clientsโ€™ businesses to effectively market their products and services through concise ad text and creative assets.

Set up conversion or eCommerce tracking.

Research new innovations and best practices in paid search as well as for online stores.

Demonstrate strong writing skills in both client-facing communication and client deliverables.

Complete weekly performance reporting and review reports with the Director of Digital Strategy.

Meet strategic deadlines provided by the client, manager, or Client Services.

Qualifications and Recommended Prerequisites:

At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience managing shopping campaigns for an agency or brand, with at least one-year managing META and Google ads

Experience working with Google and META Ads required

Experience working within Google Analytics and Google Ads required

Experience with shopping or product feed management preferred

Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify is required

Basic Photoshop and other adobe product skills

Understanding of funnels and a growth mindset

Instacart, LinkedIn, TikTok, Hulu, YouTube, Twitch, and/or Reddit ads experience a bonus.

Additional Bonus: Amazon advertising experience

Team player with excellent interpersonal / collaboration skills

Desire to learn and stay on top of digital marketing and business trends

Exceptional quantitative analytical skills

Able to work independently and self-motivate

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional with time management (this is a must)
