Job description

The Digital Experience & eCommerce Manager is responsible for leading Standlee’s digital customer experience across owned websites, digital platforms, and eCommerce channels. This role drives the strategy, optimization, and execution of digital initiatives that increase brand awareness, improve customer education, strengthen organic search performance, and support online revenue growth.

This position serves as the internal digital expert, partnering with agencies, retail partners, sales, and marketing teams to create a seamless online experience from product discovery through purchase.

This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance. It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform job-related duties as may be required by his/her supervisor.

Key Performance Areas (Essential Functions of the Position):
  • Own Standlee & Partner website strategy, roadmap, and continuous optimization.
  • Lead website enhancements that improve customer experience, education, engagement, and conversion.
  • Partner with website agency on development priorities, timelines, execution, and budget.
  • Manage website content accuracy, product information, and user experience.
  • New product launches
  • Small animal category growth
  • And other initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for digital tools/resources that improve customer engagement.
SEO & Content Optimization
  • Own SEO strategy and organic growth roadmap.
  • Lead keyword strategy, content optimization, and technical SEO improvements.
  • Partner with content team to identify customer search trends and educational opportunities.
  • Improve Standlee’s authority in forage, equine nutrition, and small animal care.
  • Monitor competitor digital presence and identify opportunities.
eCommerce Growth & Digital Shelf Management
  • Support growth strategy across eCommerce platforms including:
    • Amazon
    • Chewy
    • Retail partner websites
    • Direct-to-consumer opportunities
  • Product listings
  • Enhanced content
  • SEO optimization
  • Support digital execution of promotions and launches.
  • Identify opportunities to improve online conversion.
Digital Advertising & Agency Partnership
  • Manage digital marketing agency relationships as well as the budgets.
  • Partner on:
    • Paid search
    • Paid social
    • Retargeting
    • SEO initiatives
    • Campaign measurement
  • Ensure agency strategies align with business priorities.
  • Hold partners accountable to budget, timelines, reporting, and performance.
Analytics & Insights
  • Own digital performance reporting.
  • Translate analytics into recommendations.
  • Manage:
    • GA4 reporting
    • Website dashboards
    • SEO reporting
    • Campaign tracking
    • eCommerce performance insights
  • Provide recommendations on:
    • Customer behavior
    • Content opportunities

Experiences / Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience managing websites, SEO, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Understanding of eCommerce marketplaces and digital shelf optimization.
  • Experience managing agencies/vendors. Ability to translate data into business recommendations.
Working Conditions

Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Typical repetitive office work - PC, telephone, and live meetings.
