eCommerce Content Specialist

Direct Hire Role - Pittsburgh, PA (On-Site M-F)


Position Summary

The eCommerce Content Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing product content across multiple online stores. This role supports the Product Manager in managing product data, digital assets, inventory information, and promotional content while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client branding standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large amounts of product information and digital content.


Key Responsibilities

Product Content Management

  • Create, update, and maintain product listings across multiple eCommerce stores.
  • Develop and maintain product SKUs in accordance with established naming and coding standards.
  • Gather, organize, and validate product information from multiple sources for spreadsheet imports and bulk uploads.
  • Prepare and manage product images, ensuring consistency, quality, and proper logo placement.
  • Maintain accurate product descriptions, specifications, pricing, availability, and inventory status.


Online Store Administration

  • Support the setup and launch of new online stores following client branding and merchandising guidelines.
  • Update website homepages with featured products, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and client-specific content.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor promotional and discount codes.
  • Assist with ongoing website maintenance and data quality initiatives.


Inventory & Asset Management

  • Maintain product image libraries and digital asset files.
  • Manage showroom inventory and assist with product organization and tracking.
  • Ensure product databases remain accurate, current, and well organized.


Experience Critieria and Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years or relevant eCommerce experience in a retail environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
  • Advanced organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and organize information from multiple sources.
  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or other eCommerce platforms highly desired.
  • Experience with product uploads, spreadsheet imports, catalog management, and online store maintenance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with image editing, digital asset management, and eCommerce best practices.
