Job description

Ecommerce Content Specialist

  • Location: 100% remote
  • Contract length: 12 months
  • Pay: $25 /hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
The eCommerce Content Specialist owns the end-to-end creation and optimization of online product detail pages (PDPs) to improve traffic, conversion, and revenue while maintaining brand voice and content standards. This role partners closely with Buying, Category Merchandising, and vendors to collect and validate product data and digital assets (specifications, images, video, and enhanced content), ensuring a high-quality, customer-friendly online shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build, update, and maintain product pages (PDP) across the eCommerce platform, including product titles, product description, elevated copy, and descriptive attributes.
  • Project manage multiple processes at once.
  • Source, organize, and publish images, video, and enhanced content; ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with brand voice and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Buying, Category Merchandising, and vendor partners to gather accurate product data and assets and to confirm assortment priorities.
  • Use data to improve performance: Leverage analytics tools (Adobe, Quantum Metric, Intera) and customer feedback to identify content gaps, improve conversion, and reduce returns.
  • Participate in QA to validate accuracy, completeness, and on-site presentation; troubleshoot content and display issues in coordination with partners.
  • Recommend and support more efficient ways of working, document best practices, and contribute to process improvements and automation (including adoption of AI tools and platforms such as Alteryx).
Skills
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in eCommerce content, digital merchandising, content operations, or a related role
  • eCommerce / Project Management experience preferred
  • Professional storytelling/copywriting experience preferred

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Adobe, Quantum Metric, Intera
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and vendors
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of content optimization and digital merchandising best practices
  • Familiarity with process automation and AI tools like Alteryx
