The eCommerce Content Merchandiser and Writer will be a talented, detail-oriented individual who creates compelling, unique product content that drives traffic, boosts SEO/AEO/GEO, and enhances the online shopping experience for archers worldwide. They'll collaborate closely with the eCommerce Project Manager and cross-functional teams (including Customer Service and Purchasing) to deliver exceptional merchandising and product presentations. This on-site role plays a key part in populating and optimizing product data, upselling features, and merchandising strategies within our NetSuite ERP system and website. They'll help ensure accuracy in merchandising and product display surfaces and help optimize the customer journey for conversions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Merchandise, document, and analyze unique product upsells and cross-sells based on seasonality, inventory levels, and sales performance data.
โ€ข Curate additional buying options on product pages to improve inactive item sell through rates while driving sales.
โ€ข Write and populate engaging, SEO/AEO/GEO-optimized "Why We Like This" sections and other product-specific content to create standout, LLM-friendly content for our website.
โ€ข Analyze customer site-search data to optimize on-site search; refine product names, keywords, attributes, and filters for better discoverability.
โ€ข Monitor and reduce zero-search-results instances by crafting tailored search solutions that guide retail customers to the right products.
โ€ข Populate and organize detailed product "Specifications" in NetSuite ERP to improve the web shopping experience.
โ€ข Add and curate additional item data points to enhance product filtering and overall site search performance.
โ€ข Develop persuasive content for product listing pages in alignment with our broader content and merchandising strategies.
โ€ข Perform QA on product titles, descriptions, imagery (including alternate views), and overall presentation to ensure accuracy and an optimal user experience throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
โ€ข 2-4+ years of experience in an eCommerce role focused on product listing, content creation, or merchandising.
โ€ข Strong computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
โ€ข Knowledge of archery products and a genuine enthusiasm for the outdoors/archery community.
โ€ข Excellent organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize, schedule, and track multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
โ€ข Strong communication skills, including clear writing, effective speaking, and active listening.
โ€ข Familiarity with NetSuite and basic HTML knowledge.
