About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated E-Commerce Merchandising Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced online retail environment. This role combines buying support, site merchandising, and product data management to ensure our online product assortment is accurate, visually engaging, and optimized for sales. You’ll play a key role in how our products are presented, discovered, and purchased—helping deliver an exceptional shopping experience to every Shoebacca customer.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our office, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and have the ability to manage and analyze large sets of product data with accuracy and efficiency. Compensation: $19.50 per hour

What You’ll Do

  • Support buying and merchandising functions through assortment planning, vendor coordination, and product setup.
  • Collect and organize product assets including UPCs, descriptions, attributes, pricing, and images for accurate product listings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate product launches.
  • Audit website content to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, or missing details.
  • Analyze product and sales performance data to assist in buying and merchandising decisions.
  • Maintain product data integrity across internal systems (PIM/ERP) and update listings as needed.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, sorting and filtering, and PivotTables to manage, verify, and report on product data.
  • Monitor online merchandising to ensure a visually appealing and accurate shopping experience.
  • Participate in merchandising projects to improve data quality and operational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, E-Commerce, Merchandising, or related field (preferred). Equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce, merchandising, or buying support.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data manipulation, MACROS, and reporting).
  • Knowledge of e-commerce SEO and website product merchandising best practices for footwear and apparel categories.
  • Experience with PIM or ERP systems; Acumatica experience a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and time-management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with an understanding of retail and e-commerce trends.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in footwear or fashion merchandising, digital buying, or retail analytics.
