Freelance Digital Designer


1R is a rapidly growing eCommerce design, strategy and technology firm with a portfolio of notable fashion, beauty and lifestyle clients. Together we work to transform digital shopping experiences and establish a solid online brand identity for our clients. 


We are seeking a talented and motivated Digital Designer with experience in eCommerce to join our creative team. You will be working under the creative direction of the Design Director and closely with a team of Designers and Developers from concept, design, production, testing to asset creation. The ideal candidate should be able to push the concepts and executions to the next level, taking responsibility and pride in projects. An eye for detail, love of design, typography.  Experience in Digital Design is necessary.  


  • Create concepts

  • UX and UI Design

  • Production, specs and style guides

Responsibilities

  • Understand client goals and requirements, technical constraints, and have the ability to work within project parameters.

  • Create pixel perfect designs.

  • Execute designs based on established style guides and brand book.

  • Understand site structure and functionality from a creative point of view.

  • Engage and take initiative in all aspects of the project.

  • Manage time efficiently and easily respond to feedback. 

  • Review final work with an exacting eye to ensure graphics and layouts are without error.

  • Have experience and capacity to QA of all design elements.

  • Follow all required sign-off procedures for any work.

  • Ensure output conforms to best practice for device/web standards.

  • Ensure that project goals, timelines and budgets are closely met.


Skills Qualifications

  • Experience with eCommerce, Interactive and Digital Design.

  • Experience with responsive web design.

  • Experience with translating brand narrative across various channels.

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms and third-parties such as Shopify, Yotpo, Klayvio is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, UX/UI or related fields is a plus.

  • 4+ years working in a design production capacity in an agency environment.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Advanced knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. 

  • Experience with a variety of other softwares including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Keynote, experience in motion graphics and/or film editing is a plus. 

  • Experience with Jira and Monday would be a plus.

  • Must be highly organized and be able to work efficiently on multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to speak directly with clients.

  • Good problem solving skills.

  • Can perform under pressure and operate in a fast-paced environment.

  • Should have enthusiasm, energy and determination to achieve best results.
