Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Bridge Design Project Manager to join our Indianapolis office.
B&N Bridge Design Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams in the completion of engineering calculations and plan preparation for new or replacement bridge and bridge rehabilitation projects
  • Projects primarily will be developed for the Indiana DOT and LPA's within Indiana but may also participate in similar projects across the US
  • Maintain quality control of the work product, manage risk, and successfully complete projects on time and within budget
  • Mentor less experience engineers to support their development into independent professionals
  • The position may include top checks of INDOT and Consultant developed submittals through the INDOT Design Review Contract
  • Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk
  • Work with B&N bridge staff to develop new and maintain current client relationships
  • Lead pursuits of bridge design projects, including client meetings, and proposal preparation

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited civil or structural equivalent engineering program
  • Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
  • 8+ years of related bridge design with project and staff management experience
  • Knowledgeable with Indiana DOT Design Manual, Design Memos, procedures and other resources as well as AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications desirable
  • Microstation Openroads Designer, Microsoft Excel and Word, CES Estimating Software, Bentley OpenBridge Designer or similar concrete design software, MDX or similar steel design software experience desirable
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience maintaining client relationships
  • Self-motivated and adaptable including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
