Job Description

THIS OPPORTUNITY:

The primary responsibilities of the Bridge CAD Technician Manager will be to:  utilize a CAD workstation to develop and prepare engineering drawings utilizing practical design knowledge for roadway projects, work closely with engineers and other designers to ensure coordinated design systems, and compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. The successful candidate will benefit from unwavering support from both the local and international teams, gaining access to world-class experts on a global scale to facilitate our rapid growth. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • CAD Design: Process field collected data into CAD drawings related to various land surveying projects.
  • MANAGEMENT: Developing and enforcing CAD standards, drafting workflows, and maintaining templates to ensure consistency.
  • Data Collection: Collaborate with project managers and land surveyors to gather and organize project data, specifications, and other requirements to ensure accurate CAD representation.
  • Drafting Standards: Ensure that all CAD drawings adhere to company drafting standards, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.
  • Quality Control: Review and perform quality checks on CAD drawings to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Software Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD software and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with land surveyors, and other specialists to ensure seamless integration of CAD drawings with project goals and objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all CAD work complies with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of relevant drafting experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing and leading a team
  • Proficient in the use of Microstation or other roadway design software (Geopak, InRoads, Civil 3D)
  • Experience in INDOT road plan development utilizing OpenRoads Software is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with other co-workers and clients
