Summary - The Design Managers focus will be to oversee the development and delivery of large, overly complex products related to the semiconductor industry.

The Design Manager will handle working with our lead engineers, project managers, design teams, with various disciplines within the organization and will be an integral part of problem-solving complex design challenges.

The Design Manager will need to have deep technical knowledge of the complete design process from brainstorming to construction complete. A creative drive and a keen eye for innovative ideas and trends Effective supervisory and organizational skills the ability to be a leader but also to know how to motivate team members. The patience and determination to resolve issues in a prompt manner. Flexibility and dependability to work in multifaceted working environments. The ability to produce quality projects consistently. Excellent communication skills - both written and oral

Position responsible for development, training and supporting general standards with disciplined leads.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the design process from the conceptual phase through construction complete.
  • Prepare clear design updates on behalf of the department, working closely with the team.
  • Act as point of contact for design-related matters, and coordinate with appointed architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure that design intent is supported throughout the project.
  • Make informed recommendations on material choice, considering factors such as sustainability, cost, aesthetics, and durability.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure that the design aligns with the determined scope vision and meets the customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Participate in project meetings and present design concepts and progress.
  • Be aware of what constitutes design changes and handle any design-related issues that arise during the project.
  • Ensure design compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and guidelines.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings given by design consultants. Prepare, and combine comments from all team and end users.
  • Supplya focus on sustainability across the design cycle and ensure sustainability principles are embedded in the design.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and construction teams to ensure the design aspects are integrated into the project's overall timeline and budget.

Daily tasks may include:

  • Attending, hosting, or coordinating department meetings

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or related industry.
  • Licensed in Arizona or in United States as an architect or engineer – Highly Preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of architecture or engineering experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Recap software
  • HVAC design: 5 years (preferred)
  • Cost management: 5 years (preferred)
  • AutoCAD: 5 years (preferred)
  • Revit: 5 years (preferred)
